GLOBALIZATION

Globalization is the process of interaction and integration, grown thanks to transportation and communication technology. While many scholars place the origins of globalization in modern times, others trace its history long before the European Age of discovery and voyages to the New World. In 2000 the International Monetary Fund (IMF) identified 4 aspects of globalization:

Globalizing process affects business, work organization, resources and the natural enviroment. Globalization is usually subdivided in: economic globalization, cultural globalization and political globalization. Obviously there are some factors that have driven the process of globalization. Some of these are: the tranports systems that are now less expensive, the internet because distant places and people feel closer, security relationships, management systems and financial system. 


Globalization has some advantages and some disadvantages. Some of these advantages are:

-faster flow of information


-reduction in cultural barriers

-increase in employment opportunities
